About your hosts

JR and Courtney have worked hard to make the Arbor House and Stork's Nest a clean and accommodating as we would for our own families. We have lived in Bar Harbor year round for over 25 years. We have owned and managed Derby Lane Cottage since 2007 and handle all of the reservations, cleaning, and maintenance ourselves. It is just the two of us so we can ensure that you will have the best experience possible. Even though we have other jobs and three middle and high school aged kids we make sure to be available for your questions and concerns during your stay. We're just down the road!

About the property: a piece of history

Arbor House and Stork's Nest were at one time totally separate houses. Stork's Nest was the town's maternity hospital. At some point in their 150 year history the smaller Arbor House was moved by a team of horses and married to Stork's Nest. They have been an ideal vacation rental spot since the 1970's.
